Motorola CP110

The Motorola CP110 portable two-way radio is the entry level radio in Motorola’s commercial two-way radio market. The CP110 portable two-way radio was introduced at the IWCE 2008 (International Wireless Conference and Exposition) tradeshow in February 2008.  This radio will replace the Motorola CP100 and part of the CP125 and CP150 markets. This radio comes in 2 and 16 Channels with Display, with all models having only 2 watts of power. The CP110 also uses the same audio accessories as the rest of the CP series.

This radio is ideal for light maintenance or construction operations, small hotels, and retail environments. Do to the power limitations and the light duty construction I caution users to not as the radio to perform in application that will stretch its limits. The CP110 is also great for FRS (Family Radio Service: Read: Is FRS the Right Radio for my Business?) users that require a bit more performance and need a commercial radio.

Overall this radio is satisfactory in all aspects of price, quality, and value. I also want to caution perspective purchasers that this radio only works in simplex mode. If you ever expect that you will need radios to operate in a repeater environment do not buy this radio. The best application is for light industry that is on a limited budget.
