Hearing Protection Headsets For Two-Way Radios

Many radio users require headsets to be able to hear the radio in noisy locations. Radio users in industries like construction, manufacturing, emergency services, airports or seaports, and energy industries benefit from hearing protection. Many safety policies now state the workers must have hearing protection when working in medium to excessive noise environments.

Headsets come in 3 levels of protection.

Medium Duty Headsets – For users that are in medium noise environments, for example manufacturing facilities when near some machinery, Emergency Services when fire fighters are working close to the pump, and some construction applications when they are protected from ambient noise. Heavy Duty Headsets – Are for users in extreme noise environments, for example Airports or Seaports workers, construction workers in machinery, or heavy manufacturing plants. Examples of this type of headset are the Motorola BDN6648.

There are Bluetooth headsets are also available for users that should not have cords around there work area for safety reasons.
