Nova Communications’ growth and opportunity in the oil & gas industry has created a need for senior telecommunications technician to join our team in Nova Scotia for offshore and onshore projects.

Responsibilities:

•    Install, troubleshoot, repair and test complex telecommunications on offshore/onshore oil and gas installations
•    Work with diverse technologies including PA&A, marine safety, PBX, two-way radio, satellite, microwave, tracking and LAN/WAN
•    Assist engineering with FAT and system commissioning, and writing test procedures and other documentation
•    Assist sales and engineering to design new systems for challenging customer applications
•    Thrive on learning new communications and IT technologies and skills
•    Enjoy customers and delivering outstanding customer service

Requirements:

•    Graduate of a recognized post-secondary program in communications or electronics
•    At least 8 years of technical experience in the telecommunications industry in a technical services role
•    Experience with offshore/onshore oil & gas projects
•    Ability to work in offshore environments as required
•    Good communications and computer skills
•    Drivers license and clean driving record
•    Self confident, self starter, resourceful, team player, and great attitude!
