Due to success with broadband wireless projects and growth in the energy sector, Nova is now looking to add to our engineering team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Designing, documenting and generating RF path analysis, interference analysis, and general propagation studies.
• Design and oversee the presale and post sale engineering of complex wireless projects in wireless broadband, VHF/UHF, microwave, multiplexing, PA&A, complex antenna systems, marine safety equipment, GPS, trunked radio systems, satellite systems, PBX and IP networking.
• Other duties will include installation procedures, commissioning procedures, reliability analysis and electrical power analysis.
• Presenting and meeting with clients, partners, and suppliers of all differing technical abilities. Be able to express the solution to all levels of technical aptitude.
Qualifications:
• Engineering qualifications from a recognized institution
• Must have or be able to qualify for membership in APENS
• Telecommunications engineer with at least 5 years experience, including wireless.
• Knowledge of software applications such as Pathloss, MSOffice, PageMaker, CorelDraw, AutoCad, and Visio.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative environment and represent the company with a superior level of professionalism.
• Ability to travel for project and training throughout Canada and the USA.
