Q. Do I need VHF or UHF Radios?

Details: This is a common question from our customers.

Answer: This is one of the most common questions from our customers. Here is the standard rule we follow: VHF - Can allow for better distance, but does not work in buildings as well. We usually recommend VHF radios to customers working in outdoor applications most of the time. Some of the common industries that use VHF radios are Farming, Forestry, Volunteer Fire Departments, and Road Construction. UHF - Allows for much better in building communications, but does not travel the same distance. We recommend UHF radios to in building applications. Some industries that commonly use UHF are Hotels, Property Managers, and for warehouse applications.
