Two of these radios were purchased for field communications. Tests showed we could communicate up 3 km over open ground. Radios proved to be invaluable for communicating between two vehicles travelling together. The exceptional audio power meant communications could be heard easily by both driver and passenger in each car. Battery capacity provided all-day service, even with frequent two-way conversation. Battery re-charge at night generally took less than one hour.
Price of a CP110 radio is only about twice that of a consumer-type walkie-talkie, but performance is vastly better.
A charger for use in the car would be useful.
Very satisfied. Would recommend to any serious user of portable two-way radio.
